Director, Continuous Improvement Biologics- Vaccine at Sanofi Pasteur in Swiftwater, PA
WHO YOU ARE:
Provide the leadership, direction and overall oversight of the Continuous Improvement of the Products and Processes within the Biologics department. This position impacts the operational results of the Biologics manufacturing Operations, including safety, quality, supply, and financial results. This position also plays a key role in supporting the implementation of projects with the Biologics manufacturing area. This Director will serve a critical role in people and team development to reach the goal of Operational Excellence for the site. WHO WE ARE:
Manufacturing Support:
Provide leadership and direction to Continuous Improvement platform for Biologics to meet the established strategic vision of the Swiftwater site Biologics manufacturing processes. Will be responsible to ensure that the manufacturing facilities and equipment are properly maintained and have a life cycle strategy in place. Project Management:
Develops and manages the Biologics CI projects portfolio, including support to site strategic projects, CI C&M projects, production support activities, CAPA execution. Ensures resources workload is estimated and forecasted. Ensures funds are approved and accrued in a timely manner. Is the Biologics representative in the site project portfolio management committee meetings. Works closely with Project Management Function (PMF), Manufacturing Technologies (MTECH), Site Technical Services and Finance groups. Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
Drives continuous improvement through formal projects and shop-floor improvements. Identifies and deploys tools and techniques to improve efficiency and effectiveness of drug substance manufacturing operations. Provides direction and is accountable for ensuring that the Biologics/Antigen Continuous Improvement Department and Manufacturing Support Team (FFaST) teams operate to the defined standards Strategy:
Ensure 5-year Master plans are defined, developed and maintained for Viral and Bacterial manufacturing Areas with Biologics leadership team approvals. Works with site leadership to incorporate requirements into Site master Plan. Leadership:
Builds and maintains a high performing team, providing effective alignment and communication with functional groups at the site and at other manufacturing sites, to successfully deliver on all commitments. BASIC
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Life Sciences, Engineering or Management Required Experience with 10 years in management and/or project leadership roles in a similar industry. Thorough knowledge of cGMPs and regulatory requirements are required. Leadership and people management skills are required PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Masters Degree/MBA Project management Certification
Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
