Perform inventory management duties to include receiving, product put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, and other functions according to customer requirements.
Utilize basic systems to support various inventory and chemical management systems.
Remove cardboard and trash as needed (Detrashing).
Follow well defined procedures as outlined by Best Practices, Standard Operation Procedures & Work Instructions.
Communicate any customer issues or potential problems with the Site Supervisor.
Access & utilize Thermo Fisher Scientifics' Intranet and SharePoint document management system.
Work effectively with a diverse cross-functional team.
Embrace Practical Process Improvement (PPI) methodologies.
Positively Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations.
Must be able to work in a BL3+ environment and follow strict Stand Operating Procedures
Mandatory vaccinations and screenings may be required to access BL3+ areas.
Perform other duties as assigned by management. These task include but are no limited to Biohazard Management, Equipment Maintenance, Safety Inspections, and general area cleaning of areas.
Job-Specific Duties may include:
General Customer Service
Order Entry
Order Management
Stockroom Management
Monitor inventory in consignment stockroom on a daily basis.
Process Return Goods Requests:
Backorder Management:
Invoice Reconciliation and Claims and Deductions
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Must be able to read, write and speak English.
Displays a high level of confidentiality for both customer and Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Maintains Thermo Fisher Scientifics' Four-I Values.
Must possess a High School Diploma.
Must possess a strong desire to serve the customer, and the interpersonal skills to deal with various levels of personnel at the customer site.
Must be customer focused to deliver excellent customer service including maintaining a professional appearance at all times.
Three to five years of progressive relevant experience preferred.
Must be proficient with a computer and the Microsoft Office suite of software.
Working Conditions:
Works primarily at customer locations, in office environment to include cubicles and/or in and around shipping/receiving docks, stock rooms, storage locations and laboratory environments
May be required to work independently at customer location.
Extensive walking may be required.
Must be able to lift, push and pull 30-40 pounds consistently; may be required to lift 50 lbs.
May be able to use material handling equipment such as push carts and pallet jacks.
Depending on area of building, personal protective equipment may be worn to include lab coats, coveralls, hood, facemask, hairnets and/or safety gloves.
May pass through areas where chemical based allergens may be in use (such as penicillin, tetracycline, etc.)
Must be able to work overtime as required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
