Project Leader, Seed Manufacturing Facility

The Project: As the largest manufacturer of Influenza Vaccine in the world, Sanofi Pasteur is committed to supplying the long term needs for this important vaccine for individual and public health protection.  The site is engaged in building a new facility for antigen production and now will begin a project to build a new $40M+ building to support seed manufacturing for the process. The project is in the early phases of engineering and the building is expected to be licensed and in production for Early 2022.  The project includes clean rooms, filling equipment, utilities and facilities to support process operation.     The Job The Project Leader - Seed Manufacturing Facility is accountable for successful project scope delivery on time, within budget and in full compliance with the international regulations and Sanofi Policies. This is a critical role in the overall management of the project and coordination of all work streams supporting project.  The Project Leader must foster collaborative relationships across work streams, project team members, site leadership, global leadership, and the leadership from external partners. Ensure engagement and alignment with all functions such as Project Management Function, Strategy, Finance, Engineering, and Quality. Key accountabilities Lead the Seed Manufacturing project during all phases of engineering and execution in accordance with safety, quality, performance, schedule and costs objectives of each project. The Project Leader - Seed Manufacturingreports to PMF organization. This role will support multiple medium sized projects (each< $50 Million). Ensure the projects resources are assessed, planned and available for the different project steps, with strong focus on resource articulation between Technical Services, Manufacturing Technology, Quality Assurance and Control, Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs , Information Services, and Procurement. Guarantee the project meets expectation of sponsor/internal customer expectation as described in the project charter. Ensure cooperation, smooth progress and continuous improvement through best practices exchange. Support the implementation of the regulatory vision defined for the site. Ensure the project scope includes future volume, technology and regulatory expectations. Ensure that a risk management approach is defined and maintained up-to-date throughout the project stages; define and deploy the corresponding mitigation plan. Drive the communication strategy for the Project to meet the project team and stakeholder expectations. The Project leader will interact with sponsors, steering committee, Swiftwater management, project team members, work stream project controllers, SWR finance and external vendors and agencies. Requirements Education/experience University degree in Engineering 7 years relevant work experience in a construction, pharmaceutical, food or chemical production environment. 3 years of experience leading cross-functional projects or operations teams. Experienced in the project management process and ability to lead other team members Assets: PMP designation would be a strong asset experience in Biological/Drug or Vaccine Substance Manufacturing
